I know you’re tired but come, this is the way. ~Rumi
Welcome to my practice … I’m so happy you’re here.
I know how difficult it can be to reach out to someone you don’t know for support. Being asked to share your life story, or even parts of your story, can feel scary and vulnerable … especially when you’ve been taught to keep things in.
My personal and professional experiences taught me the power and importance of one’s life story. The story can be overall positive but it can also be a story of many limitations, pain, and suffering shaping beliefs about oneself, others, and the world. This can make us feel stuck, hijacking our potential, dreams, hopes and can leave us feeling disconnected, unsure, and lonely even if surrounded by people.
We grapple with insecurities, fears, anxieties. We can be tormented with questions:
Am I enough?
Am I worthy?
Am I loveable?
Do my needs matter? Do I even know what I need?
Should I avoid conflict at all costs or do I have a right to ask for what I need?
Will I be rejected if I speak up?
Can I learn to feel and think differently?
Is it too late?
We all long to feel seen and heard, and experience a sense of belonging. When we meet, you can expect that I will come to our sessions without any preconceived ideas or judgments of who you are or what you’ve been through. I help individuals and couples who are stuck and overwhelmed transform their lives and relationships so they can find a sense of connection, peace, and belonging.
It takes courage to reach out and I’m so glad you’re here.
Professional Bio
I’m a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and psychotherapist located in North York, Toronto. I hold a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto and over 20 years experience working in mental health. You can learn more about my credentials and education, here.
Before entering full-time private practice, I worked as a research coordinator at St. Joseph’s Health Care, Women’s College Hospital and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre focusing on anxiety and depression with a special focus on perinatal mental health. Following that, I worked as a therapist at the Women’s Mood & Anxiety Clinic at Sunnybrook supporting women pre- and postpartum, including women who had experienced loss. Currently in my private practice, I support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression and trauma, couples experiencing difficulties in their relationship, and continue to offer perinatal mental health services.
